AA Siller-Ceniceros is a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). She previously served as Adjunct Professor (A) at the Faculty of Chemical Sciences (FCQ) of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) and is a Level 1 member of Mexico’s Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (2023–2027). She completed postdoctoral research at the Research Center for Biotechnology and Nanotechnology (CIByN-FCQ-UANL) and at the Centro de Investigación en Química Aplicada (CIQA).
Dr. Siller-Ceniceros earned a Ph.D. in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology from CINVESTAV-IPN, specializing in fuel cells for renewable energy sustainability, and a Master’s in Materials Science from CIMAV-Monterrey, focusing on semiconductor thin films for flexible electronics.
She has received several prestigious awards, including the Best Doctoral Thesis Award (EQI-2019) at the National Meeting of Inorganic Chemistry (EQI-2019), the MDPI Award for Best Oral Presentation at the International Congress of NanoBioEngineering (CINBI 2022), and the Best Poster Prize at Symposium 07: Novel Materials and Devices for Energy Conversion and Storage, awarded by the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE, 2016).
Dr. Siller-Ceniceros' research focuses on nanostructured electrocatalysts and metal-organic heterostructures, with a growing interest in their applications in fuel cells, hydrogen storage, and heterogeneous catalysis. Recently, she has been particularly engaged in exploring their potential for health-related applications, including innovative approaches in biotechnology and nanomedicine.
