JIMENEZ PEREZ, VICTOR MANUEL

Víctor M. Jiménez Pérez was born in Tlaxcala. He received his BSc (1998) in Industrial Chemistry at the Universidad Autonóma de Tlaxcala. In 2005, he got his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the CINVESTAV-CDMX. After the postdoctoral work with Prof. Herbert W. Roesky at Universität Göttingen (2007 fellowship DAAD), he joined as a full professor in the Chemistry Faculty at the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon. So far, he is the author of 95 publications (h-index 28, over 3,400 citations) and 26 patents. Member of National System of Researchers level III. His research is focused on the design and green synthesis (MW, US, and Mechanosynthesis) of new luminescent materials, from fine chemicals and biomass, for sensing, biological, security ink, and optoelectronic applications into the Research Center of Green Chemistry and Engineering. Víctor has mentored over 60 graduate, postdocs and undergraduate researchers. Also, the Jimenez research group is promoting Inclusive Chemistry for visual impairment and teaching kids chemical sciences.
