IGLESIAS ARTEAGA, MARTIN ANDRES

Professor Martin A. Iglesias-Arteaga was born in Havana, Cuba. He studied chemistry and earned his Ph.D title at the University of Havana. He was postdoctoral fellow at IPNA-CSIC, Tenerife Canary Islands (1996-1997), and Invited Professor at the University of Valencia, Spain. (1999-2000). Professor Iglesias-Arteaga occupied an Excellence Chair in CINVESTAV-IPN in Mexico City (2001-2003) and Honorary Chair Jesus Romo Armeria (January to June 2011). Since 2004 he is Full Professor at the Faculty of Chemistry of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. His research is focused on the development of methodologies for the synthesis and NMR characterization of monomeric and dimeric steroid with potential applications in medicinal and/or supramolecular chemistry. Professor Iglesias-Arteaga is member of of the Advisory Board of SynOpen since January 2021 and was member of the Advisory Board of Natural Product Communications (2005-2015), and Scientific Editor to Arkivoc (2005-2023).
