Dr. Isidoro García Cruz was born in 1964 in Puebla City, MEXICO. Received his Ph. D. degree in 1991 at Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM) from Mexico City. He joined at Mexican Petroleum Institute (IMP) in 1993. He has a wide experience in the modeling and simulation of catalysts and hydrocarbon transformation. Professor García-Cruz is an expert in kinetic and thermochemical studies applying the density functional theory (DFT). Current research focuses on catalysts modeling, design, clean fuels and renewables, adsorption and capture of CO2 through different materials. Recently, he got on a new research line on biomass transformation components, such as lignin, cellulose and hemicellulose.
