After Eduardo Fernández-Martínez had completed his studies of bachelor’s degree as a Pharmaceutical Engineer, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a researcher on medicines design and pharmaceutical technology. Later, he earned both the Master of Sciences and the Doctor of Sciences degrees in Pharmacology. His research interests are mainly focused on the obtention and pharmacological evaluation of synthetic compounds, natural products, or known drugs as immunomodulatory and antioxidant hepatoprotective agents. Besides, the obtention and assessment of compounds as tocolytic agents which act by the same mechanisms of action and as uterus-relaxants has been approached.
