Graduated from the Bachelor of Mathematics program at the University of La Havana, and subsequently obtained a Master's and a Doctorate in Sciences from the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos, Mexico.
Currently serving as the head of the bioinformatics area at the University Unit of Massive Sequencing and Bioinformatics (UUSMB), which is part of the National Laboratory of Technological Support for Genomic Sciences (LN-ATCG) within the CONAHCYT national laboratory program in Mexico.
I have specialized in bioinformatic analysis, focusing on genomics, transcriptomics, and metagenomics, with an emphasis on parasitology and software development.
My scientific output includes 27 international publications, some of which are published in high-impact journals such as Nature and Nature Microbiology.
