Jalil Carreño was born on September 8, 1985, in Chihuahua, Mexico. He studied chemistry at Chihuahua Autonomous University. He holds a master’s degree in biotechnology and a Ph.D. in environmental science and technology. From 2021 to 2023 he made a postdoc in Research Center in Food and Development (CIAD) in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. He has participated in several research projects and published multiple papers in high-impact journals. His teaching experience dates to 2013. Public communication of science is one of his main activities as he coordinates several SciCom activities among kids and young adults.
