My background is in the fields of inorganic chemistry and supramolecular chemistry. My research focuses on the design and synthesis of artificial luminescent receptors based on p-block (Al, Ga, In, Bi, Sb), d-block (Zn, Ru, Re, Ti, Zr), and f-block (Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb) coordination complexes. These receptors are used as chemosensors and chemodosimeters (fluorescent, phosphorescent, and colorimetric) for the detection, quantification, and/or separation of biologically relevant analytes (amino acids, catecholamines, nucleotides, dicarboxylates) and environmental analytes (organophosphate pesticides and organoarsenical compounds).
