I was born and grew up in Mexico City. I received my Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science from Facultad de Ciencias-UNAM and a Masters degree in Statistics from IIMAS-UNAM . My PhD was supervised by Prof. Stephen G. Walker and now I am a Research Associate at IIMAS-UNAM.
I am interested in Simulation and Bayesian Statistics: efficient random variate generation, MCMC algorithms, Bayesian non- and semi-parametric methods
