RUIZ AGUILAR, GRACIELA MA. DE LA LUZ

Dr. Graciela Ruiz is a distinguished Mexican researcher with a Ph.D. from CINVESTAV-IPN in Mexico City. Her expertise lies in the treatment of toxic organic compounds and the production of biogas from various agro-industrial sources, all through the lens of sustainability. Dr. Ruiz has served as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Iowa and completed research residencies at Rice University and the United States Department of Agricultural Research, broadening her scope of study.

She has authored numerous articles in both national and international scientific journals and has coordinated several books in her areas of specialization and education. Dr. Ruiz is an active participant in academic and scientific events, fervently promoting the dissemination of scientific knowledge. With one patent and two patent registration applications to her name, she also holds an intangible asset registration and the registered trademark LATESUG®, which serves as a platform for the dissemination of environmental science. Dr. Ruiz conducts workshops, courses, and creates digital content for social media, fostering environmental awareness and innovation. She is a member of the National System of Researchers and Investigators of SECIHTI and has been recognized with the Desirable Profile by the Ministry of Public Education. Dr. Ruiz is the founder and an active member of the Academic Body "Biotechnology, Sustainability, and Engineering."

Dr. Ruiz has held prominent institutional roles, including serving as the President of the Celaya-Salvatierra Campus of the University of Guanajuato, and she is currently a tenured professor at the same institution.
