Ma. del Rosario Moreno Virgen graduated from the Technological Institute of Aguascalientes with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in 2003 and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering in 2006. She obtained a PhD in Advanced Technology in 2010 from CICATA-IPN (Center for Research in Applied Science and Advanced Technology). She is currently part of the SNI (National System of Researchers) level I, valid until December 2025.
She has experience in waste recovery, circular economy and environmental remediation through the intensification of processes through the application of magnetic fields and her projects are focused on water treatment and waste reuse. Dr. Moreno-Virgen is a member of Eulac-Energy Tran with sortiums financed by the European Union, a member of the National MatPore Laboratory and of the Thematic Network for the Development of the Value Chain of Strategic Minerals of the Tecnológico Nacional de México.
