Marisol Guzmán Cova holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. She is currently a full-time Professor-Researcher at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, where she has over 25 years of teaching experience in the BA in English Language Teaching program. She also teaches in the MA in English Language Teaching and the MA in Educational Innovation in Language Teaching.

Dr. Guzmán Cova has actively contributed to national and international academic communities through the organisation of scholarly events, as well as presentations and workshops. Her academic production includes peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, event reviews, and book chapters. She currently serves as Co-Dissemination Coordinator of the Research Special Interest Group (ReSIG) within IATEFL.

Her research interests focus on socio-emotional learning, teacher professional development, language teacher education, and inclusive language teaching practices.
