He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) (2023; Summa Cum Laude). His work explores bioelectrochemical systems, particularly microbial fuel cells, to advance renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and environmental innovation. In recognition of his contributions, he received the UANL Research Prize in 2024.
