Enrique Salgado-Hernández is a Ph.D. In Ecology and Biotechnology by Universidad Veracruzana. His current position is full-time professor at Facultad de Ciencias Químicas, Univeridad Veracruzana. He has worked on the production of bioenergetics from municipal organic solid waste. His areas of interest are microbial biotechnology and ecology, environmental engineering, and bioinformatics. He is investigating microbial communities through high-throughput sequencing responsible for producing biomethane from macroalgae.
