CUEVAS CAJIGA, YAZMIN MARGARITA

Yazmin Cuevas holds a BA, MA and PhD in Pedagogy from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters (FFyL) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She obtained honorable mentions in all three of her exams. In 2019, she did a research stay at the Laboratory of Education, Policies and Cultures of the University of Lyon 2 in France. She has been a member of the National System of Researchers since 2011, currently at level I. Since 2009, she has been a full associate of COMIE.
She is a Full Professor B of the Bachelor's and Postgraduate Degree in Pedagogy at the FFyL of UNAM. She has the PRIDE D level of incentives.
She has developed her academic career in two main lines of research: basic education policies, social representations and education.
In these areas, she has been responsible for four collective research projects (CONACYT, UNAM-PAPIME). She has also participated as a guest professor in ten projects at different institutions such as Oxford University, Arizona State University, IISUE-UNAM, UAM-Xochimilco, UPN-Ajusco, and COMIE.
As a result of these educational research processes, she has published four books as coordinator, 21 articles in international journals indexed by CONACyT and SCOPUS, and 40 book chapters. She currently serves as director of the Mexican Journal of Educational Research of COMIE and is a member of the editorial committee of the Journal of Culture and Social Representations of the Institute of Social Research of UNAM. Both publications are indexed by CONACYT.
In teaching, Dr. Cuevas has specialized in the area of ​​Pedagogical Research at the College of Pedagogy and in the Postgraduate Program in Pedagogy. His research teaching can be seen in the direction of three doctoral theses (one of them at the Autonomous Metropolitan University), 10 master's theses and 35 bachelor's theses.

Yazmin Cuevas es licenciada, maestra y PhD en Pedagogía por la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (FFyL) de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). En sus tres exámenes obtuvo mención honorífica. En 2019 realizó una estancia de investigación en el Laboratorio de Educación, Políticas y Culturas de la Universidad de Lyon 2 en Francia. Pertenece al Sistema Nacional de Investigadores desde 2011, actualmente con el nivel I. Desde 2009 es asociada titular del COMIE.
Es profesora Titular B de la licenciatura y posgrado en Pedagogía en la FFyL de la UNAM. Cuenta con el nivel de estímulos PRIDE D.
Ha desarrollado su trayectoria académica en dos líneas de investigación principales: políticas de la educación básica, representaciones sociales y educación.
En estos ámbitos, ha sido responsable de cuatro proyectos de investigación colectivos (CONACYT, UNAM-PAPIME). Además, ha participado como profesora invitada en diez proyectos de diferentes instituciones como la Universidad de Oxford, la Universidad del Estado de Arizona, el IISUE-UNAM, la UAM-Xochimilco, la UPN-Ajusco, el COMIE.
Como resultado de estos procesos de investigación educativa ha publicado cuatro libros como coordinadora, 21 artículos en Revistas Internacionales indizadas al CONACyT y SCOPUS, y 40 capítulos de libro. Actualmente funge como directora de la Revista Mexicana de Investigación Educativa del COMIE y es miembro del comité editorial de la Revista Cultura y Representaciones Sociales del Instituto de Investigaciones Sociales de la UNAM. Ambas publicaciones se encuentran indizadas al CONACYT.
En labores de docencia la Doctora Cuevas se ha especializado en el área de Investigación Pedagógica en el Colegio de Pedagogía y en el Posgrado en Pedagogía. Su docencia en investigación se puede constatar en la dirección de tres tesis de doctorado (una de ellas en la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana), 10 tesis de maestría y 35 tesis de licenciatura.
