I am a CONACYT Researcher within the Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing program at CINVESTAV, Saltillo. Currently, I am the main researcher of the CONACYT Rehabilitation Robotics and Human Machine Interfaces project. I received a study grant from the University of Genoa to do a PhD in the Advanced Robotics Department of the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT). After obtaining the degree of Doctor in Humanoid Technologies (2010), I completed two postdoctoral stays within the Department of Advanced Robotics at IIT. In 2014, I joined CONACYT Chairs as a researcher at CINVESTAV in Saltillo, Mexico. I am currently a Level I member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) in Mexico, which is a federal program that selects and recognizes outstanding and ongoing work by Mexico's most important researchers and emphasizes research productivity and publishing.
My research areas of interest include man-machine interfaces, robotic systems and serious games for physical rehabilitation or educational purposes, robotic control algorithms, EMG biofeedback, and systems or methods to objectively evaluate motor behavior.
