I am a experimental biophysiscist working at the edge of the fields of nanomedicine, material´s science and nanotechnology. Currently I am a postodoctoral fellow at the University of Zacatecas, in Zacataecas, Mexico. My research of interest involves the measurement and quantification of the very tiny interactions between polymers or nanoparticles with pathogens, like virus and bacteria. Also, I am interested to investigate the mechanical properties of nanomaterials (an biomaterials) like nanogels, thin polymer films, bidimensional materials like graphene sheets and living cells which are in the micrometer range. I also, use single-molecule manipulation experiments to investigate material´s responsiveness and the material properties of chain molecules. Surface science is also at the core of my research, particulary surface characterization at the nanoscale. For my research I use a broad set of experimental techniques (AFM, TIRF, Raman spectroscopy, SEM, etc).
