Economist, MSc in Social Sciences, and PhD in Global Development Studies. She is a full-time researcher at Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga and an associate professor at CETYS University. She is a Level I researcher in Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNI) and an associate researcher at Minciencias (Colombia).
Her research focuses on social entrepreneurship, women, and territory, with particular emphasis on peacebuilding, reintegration, and reparative processes in post-conflict and violence-affected contexts in Latin America. She conducts applied qualitative research and has participated in international projects and consultancies with formerly incarcerated women, women in high-violence urban contexts, and women in reintegration processes in Colombia.
She has been a fellow of the Orquídeas Program (2024–2025), the University of San Diego (2024), and a Visiting Fellow at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies, University of California San Diego (2020).
