Member of the Mexican National System of Researchers (SNI), Level 1.
Ph.D. in Communication Research from Anáhuac University Mexico. Throughout her career, she has received several prestigious awards, including being a finalist in the 2019 Digital Communication Research Awards from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and winning first place in the XVIII National Award for Graduate Theses in Communication in 2010, granted by the National Council for Teaching and Research in Communication Sciences (CONEICC). In 2017, she received the Academic Merit Award from the Autonomous University of Querétaro. Her research interests include digital citizenship, civic participation, and political communication.
