Ernesto Zambrano-Serrano received both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), Mexico, in 2009 and 2012 respectively. He then received a Ph.D. degree from Instituto Potosino de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica (IPICYT), Mexico in 2017. He has been a research assistant at Centre for Chaos and Complex Networks-City University of Hong Kong, HK during summer 2016. He has been a postdoctoral fellow with Faculty of Electronics Sciences at BUAP (Jan-Dec 2018). He has been a postdoctoral fellow with Facultad de Ingeniería Mecánica y Eléctrica at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, México (UANL) (Aug 2019-Jul 2021). Currently, he is a Lecturer at FIME-UANL since Jan-2021-present. He is a member of the National System for Researchers (SNI-CONACyT-México). His research interests are chaotic behavior, complex networks, fractional-order dynamical systems, bifurcation, stability, and engineering applications.

Researcher in nonlinear dynamical systems, specializing in the analysis and design of fractional-order chaotic systems, hidden and multi-scroll attractors. My work integrates electronic design and hardware implementation (FPGA, ARM, op-amps) with complex network synchronization and applications in biomedicine and chaotic cryptography.

In recent years, I have incorporated approaches based on fractional calculus, memristors, and neural networks, as well as artificial intelligence techniques, for the optimization and control of nonlinear systems. These approaches have been validated experimentally and have interdisciplinary applications in engineering, computer science, and health sciences.
