CHAVEZ LOPEZ, CHRISTIAN

PhD in Arts and Design and an MA in Visual Arts from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), as well as a BA in Graphic Design and a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence. She has undertaken postdoctoral research in Educational Multimodality and Disruptive Technologies and holds postgraduate diplomas in Complex Thinking, Innovation in Higher Education Teaching, and Academic Journal Publishing. She is a lecturer, supervisor, and researcher in UNAM’s Graduate Programme in Arts and Design. She is also an affiliated researcher at the Centre for Complexity Sciences (C3-UNAM) and the UNESCO Chair “University and Regional Integration” (UNEIR). She is a member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNII) by the Ministry of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation (SECIHTI). She coordinates the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Sustainable Arts and Design (LADIS) and the Design, Art and Complexity (DAC) research group. She is actively involved in several national and international academic networks, including FREI, LeNSin, the Design Researchers Network (Argentina), the Latin American Graphic Culture Network, and the Kairós Young Researchers Network. She is also a founding member of the Transdisciplinary Creation and Research Network in Arts and Design (CAOS). She is Academic Coordinator of the Diploma Programme in Design and Innovation for Sustainability at the Faculty of Arts and Design’s Continuing Education Division. She serves on UNAM’s University Council and as a Community Guidance Adviser within the University Coordination for Gender Equality (CIGU). She serves on the editorial boards of three academic journals and is Editor-in-Chief of DISEÑOTOPIA, published by the Faculty of Arts and Design. She has authored more than thirty academic publications, including books, book chapters, and peer-reviewed articles. She has served as a keynote speaker, organiser, and coordinator at national and international conferences. Her research focuses on the intersections of design, the arts, culture, education, sustainability, gender, complexity, epistemology, and emerging methodologies.

Doctora en Artes y Diseño y Maestra en Artes Visuales por la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Licenciada en Diseño Gráfico. Máster en Inteligencia Artificial. Realizó estudios posdoctorales en Multimodalidad Educativa y Tecnologías Disruptivas, así como diplomados en Pensamiento Complejo, Innovación en la Docencia Universitaria y Edición de Revistas Académicas. Es profesora, tutora e investigadora en el Posgrado en Artes y Diseño de la UNAM. Asimismo, es investigadora adscrita al Centro de Ciencias de la Complejidad (C3-UNAM) y a la Cátedra UNESCO “Universidad e Integración Regional” (UNEIR). Es integrante del Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores (SNII) del SECIHTI. Coordina el Laboratorio Interdisciplinario en Artes y Diseño Sustentable (LADIS) y el grupo de investigación Diseño, Arte y Complejidad (DAC). Participa activamente en diversas redes académicas nacionales e internacionales, entre ellas: Fundación Red para la Educación en Iberoamérica (FREI), Learning Network on Sustainability International (LeNSin), Red de Investigadores en Diseño (Argentina), Red Latinoamericana de Cultura Gráfica y Red de Jóvenes Investigadores de Kairós. Además, es miembro fundadora de la Red de Creación e Investigación Transdisciplinaria en Artes y Diseño (CAOS). Es responsable académica del Diplomado en Diseño e Innovación para la Sustentabilidad de Educación Continua FAD. Participa en el H. Consejo Universitario de la UNAM y como Persona Orientadora Comunitaria en la Coordinación para la Igualdad de Género de la UNAM (CIGU). Forma parte de tres comités editoriales de revistas académicas y se desempeña como directora editorial de la revista DISEÑOTOPIA, adscrita a la FAD. Cuenta con más de treinta publicaciones académicas, entre libros, capítulos de libro y artículos especializados. Ha participado como conferencista, organizadora y gestora de congresos nacionales e internacionales. Sus líneas de investigación se centran en las intersecciones entre diseño, artes, cultura, educación, sustentabilidad, género, complejidad, epistemología y metodologías emergentes.
