GARCIA ORTIZ, CESAR EDUARDO

Dr. César García graduated with a degree in Physics from the Faculty of Physical-Mathematical Sciences at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, where he also obtained his Ph.D. in Industrial Physical Engineering, specializing in Nano-Optics and Plasmonics. He completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Southern Denmark, primarily focusing on the study of light interaction at the nanoscale. Dr. García-Ortiz served as a CONACYT Professor for eight years, assigned to the Center for Scientific Research and Higher Education of Ensenada (CICESE), where he led the Nano-Optics Group (GNO-MTY). During that time, he contributed to the creation of the Master's program in Advanced and Integrated Technologies at the Monterrey Unit of CICESE. Additionally, Dr. César García is a member of the National System of Researchers at Level 1 and currently holds a full-time faculty position at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he also serves as Associate Director of the Department of Sciences in Monterrey. From 2021 to 2022, he undertook a sabbatical stay in Denmark, studying the optical properties of nanomaterials at cryogenic temperatures. Dr. César García is the author of more than 30 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals, and his research areas include nanotechnology, plasmonics, nano-optics, optical biosensors, fluorescence, and quantum optics.
