MANZO MARTINEZ, ALAIN

He received the degree of Electronic Engineer with a specialty in Power Electronics from the National Institute of México, Campus Morelia in 2004. He completed Master's studies at the National Institute of México, Campus Morelia, obtaining the degree of Master of Science in Electronic Engineering with a specialty in Biomedical Instrumentation in 2007. In 2014, he finished his PhD studies in Electrical Engineering with a specialty in Computational Systems within the program of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. He was working for nine years at the National Institute of México, Campus Morelia as a professor-researcher in the Department of Electronic Engineering. From 2016 to date, he is a full professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua and he has the distinction of National Researcher Level 1. He has taught different subjects at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, in addition to directing thesis work at both levels. He has been responsible for and collaborated in research projects financed by CONACYT, PRODEP and the National Institute of México. He has seven years of service as an active member of the IEEE, in addition to participating in the IEEE Centro Occidente Section working in the organization of the Workshop on Biomedical Applications within ROPEC International Congresses. He has publications in important national and international journals and conferences. His research interests include Pattern Recognition, Artificial Intelligence and Signal and Image Processing. His research areas include embedded systems, biosignals processing, audio recognition, bio-inspired algorithms, intelligent systems and robotic.
