Irma Susana Carbajal Vaca studied Music, Communication Sciences and awarded a Master and PhD in Education. She has been a professor at the University of Guadalajara, the dual university Cooperative State University of Baden-Württemberg (Germany), the Tecnológico de Monterrey, the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo and since 2016 is a research professor at Autonomous University of Aguascalientes where she represents the research group UAA-CA-117, Education and Knowledge of Music, whose members coordinate the International Colloquium on Higher Level Music Education, the Permanent Seminar of the Department of Music and the Radio "Ventana al Sonido" program. She has been recognized in Mexico as a National Investigator (SNI I) by the National Council of Science and Technology and is a member of the National Council of Educational Research.
