SERVAN MORI, EDSON ENRIQUE

Edson Serván-Mori, PhD, is a Senior Medical Research Scientist at the Centre for Health Systems Research, National Institute of Public Health (Mexico). He produces policy-relevant research on universal health coverage, financial protection, health system fragmentation, and health inequalities among vulnerable populations. He collaborates with international organisations and academic partners and is affiliated with global initiatives including the Global Burden of Disease Study (IHME), WPLAC, and the HEALTH Protect initiative. His scholarly output includes 170+ peer-reviewed publications, as well as books and policy reports. He received a PhD in Economics (summa cum laude) from UNAM, an MSc in Economics from CIDE, and a BA in Economics from the National Agrarian University La Molina (Peru), complemented by training in applied statistics, data science, and social development.
