Ph.D. Eng. Josué Enríquez-Zárate did Postdoctoral Research in Structural Control applied in Wind Turbines and holds a doctorate in Mechanical Design Engineering and a Master Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Mechatronics Systems and an undergraduate degree in Cybernetic Engineering. In recent years, he has worked in the wind power industry for companies like INGETEAM Mexico and ADVANTIS. He has great expertise and contributions in research on the vibration control applied in buildings, offshore platforms, and wind structures. He recently concluded a short Research Stay at Andes University Santiago, Chile in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, working on a project about Monitoring and Damage Detection in Wind turbine blades. The industrial expertise is focused on the design, manufacturing, and assembly of wind turbines of a capacity of 1 kW. This project was conducted in RTO Energy Company with a location in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Mexico. The industrial position in INGETEAM Mexico Company was conducted to the members of the group known as STAFF with responsibilities the training through courses to the technical employers in: working at heights, electrical risk, confined areas, etc; all these courses applied for wind turbines. The industrial position in ADVENTIS Company was focused to the inspection of wind turbine blades, and projects of internal security in wind farms like IBERDROLA in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca, México. The skills are focused on the use of measurement tools like Data Acquisition Cards from National Instruments©, sensors like Accelerometers triaxial, Piezoelectric strain, Piezoelectric and Magnetorheological actuators, Pressure sensor and Temperature sensors, strain gauges, and even the interpretation of the frequential analysis of data measured, used for the inspection of the overall wind turbine.
