My research focuses on international migration, transitions to adulthood in Latin America and the intersection of demographic dynamics, education and public policy, with a cross-cutting gender perspective. Currently, I am the Co-Principal Investigator for the Mesoamerican Migration Project (El Colegio de México and Brown University) and the 2021 Recent Immigration Survey of the Latin American Migration Project (El Colegio de México, Brown University and the Universidad de la República).
