Dr. Rafael Martínez Palou has a degree in Chemistry from the University of Havana. He studied his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemobiological Sciences with a specialty in Bioorganic Chemistry at the National School of Biological Sciences of the National Polytechnic Institute. She completed a one-year postdoctoral stay at the Mexican Petroleum Institute and a research stay at Imperial College London in 2016.
He has worked as a researcher at the Mexican Petroleum Institute since 2002 where he has been Leader of several Research Projects. He is a postgraduate professor at IMP.
He is level III of the Mexican National System of Researchers since 2019.
