Emilio Tejeda received his PhD in Astrophysics from the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy, in 2012. Later, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Stockholm University and at the Institute of Astronomy of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He has been a SECIHTI researcher at the Instituto de Física y Matemáticas of the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH) since 2018.

His work is centered on theoretical and numerical astrophysics, particularly focusing on the physics of accretion onto black holes and the development of numerical models incorporating relativistic effects.
