María Soledad Lastra is a Full-Time Associate Researcher at the Institute for Social Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, a Master's degree in Social Sciences, and a Doctorate in History. She is a Level I member of the National System of Researchers (SNII). Her research focuses on political exiles in contemporary history, violence, and human rights.
