MARTINEZ CADENA, JUAN ALBERTO

Juan Alberto Martínez Cadena is a mathematician whose research lies at the intersection of general topology, applied mathematics, and data science. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM-I), Mexico, and also completed doctoral studies at Universitat Jaume I, Spain. He carried out postdoctoral research at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and is currently a National Researcher Level I in Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNII–SECIHTI).

His work spans compactness-like properties in topology, topological algebra, time series analysis, entropy-based methods, predictive modeling, and topological data analysis. He has authored research articles in topology, epidemiology, nonlinear dynamics, air quality analysis, and signal processing, and has also taught undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis. In addition, he has supervised student research projects, organized seminars in data analysis and artificial intelligence, and served as a reviewer for international journals.
